The textile articles sold by Aussie Products as being of Australian Aboriginal origin began life as paintings. These are then transposed onto a range of fabrics, some of which are sold as yardage, some as quilting pre-cuts, while others are transformed into headgear, home-wares and scarves and ties.
The designs are all attributed to the original artists, and they benefit from the sale of articles made from fabrics bearing their designs

| Artist Bio: | Heather Kennedy is an experienced Aboriginal artist from Victoria, Australia. Her dreaming is Black Possum. She has strong sense of colour and design. Goanna Dreaming and Possum Land & Water Dreaming are some of Heather’s famous designs. She is well known for not only her art, but also as a designer of fashion shoes. |
| Story: | There are about three salt lakes in Northern Territory in Australia. Among these lakes, Amadeus is the longest Salt Lake. It spans about 180km (110miles) in length and 10km (6.2miles) in width. It is estimated to contain 600 million tons of salt. Due to aridity of the area, the surface of the lake formed like salt crust. However, sometimes due to heavy rain, the salt is washed away to the nearby Kinke river. Heather's take on the fecund rainforest in summertime is bursting with colour, movement and life, a strong contrast to the arid and deadly area in which she lives. |
